UNCOVER THE SECRETS OF PORTREE

Guided tour of  the "capital" of the Isle of Skye followed by a hike around Loch Portree...

Portree is the Isle of Skye's largest town, and also acts as the main hub of the island.  Sitting on a natural harbor, with its quaint colored houses, let our guides take you for a wee wander with their stories and knowledge, before heading on a nice brisk trek along the coast, to the land of the Nicolson Clan.

We would like to point out that this is a medium-intensity tour and not suitable for those with a health condition, or if you are not used to physical walking.  We do have another alternative at the bottom of this page.

Cost:
Adults / Young Adults (over 16 years-old): £19
Children (between 5 and 16 years-old): £14
Babies / Toddlers (under 5): Free
Seniors (over 50 years-old): £19
Private Groups (1-12 people - all ages): £120

2.5-3 hours

Availability:

About this activity:

-A small walk around the town, with an in-depth introduction to Portree and its history.

-Learn about Skye too and life in the Hebrides of Scotland.

-We will present to you the importance of some industries on our island.  From the fishing industry, to the modern day salmon farms.  And how over the years gastronomy and craft have grown in popularity.

-Hear a wee tale about the legend of the Old Man of Storr, as we dive in to Skyes folklore.

-Head on a brisk Trek along Portree, to the land of the Nicolson clan.

Meeting point:
Somerled Square, Portree, Isle of Skye, IV51 9EH

Notes:
A more traditional tour of Portree is also possible - as a simpler alternative for those who would have less time ahead or for those who are looking for something less physical (this option is only available for private groups - for the same price and with a duration of 1h30-2h). If you are interested, please book a normal private tour and let me know after the booking.
